Biocraftlab is a 3D printing company from Graz, founded in 2016 by Nico Teuschler. We produce custom promotional items, including personalized cookie cutters, trophies, medals, pen holders, and much more from biodegradable and recycled plastic, for businesses, retailers, and private customers.
The focus is on personalized products in small series. At Biocraftlab, a finished plastic product is created from a logo, photo, or sketch: 3D design, production, and packaging from a single source.
Biocraftlab's clients include Red Bull, Deutsche Bahn, Mercedes, Wiener Linien, Vaillant, Johanniter-Unfall-Hilfe, Stadtwerke Münster, MuseumsQuartier Wien, TEST-FUCHS, Promega and many more.

PLA is our main material. It is made from corn starch or sugar cane, does not require petroleum, and is biodegradable. PLA used for food contact is continuously tested by independent laboratories and complies with EU Regulation 10/2011.
rPLA and rPET are recycled filaments. rPLA is made from shredded 3D printing waste and production scraps from our own manufacturing, while rPET is made from old PET bottles and industrial waste.
HIPS & PP is used when a product needs to be dishwasher-safe. HIPS & PP is food-safe and dimensionally stable above 80°C. We are working on using recycled HIPS & PP.
Hello, I'm Nico Teuschler, founder of Biocraftlab. The idea originated from my own daily laboratory routine: Through my training and work in the lab, I saw daily how much plastic waste is generated there. Single-use items, packaging, consumables – most of it ends up in the trash after a single use.
With Biocraftlab, I wanted to tackle this problem at its root and establish a sustainable plastic recycling chain using 3D printing. My goal: to reuse plastic waste wherever possible, and where recycling is not possible, to replace conventional plastic with biodegradable alternatives.
This goal is still embedded in every product today. All 3D-printed products from Biocraftlab are made from either recycled or biodegradable plastic, without exception. 🔬🧬
Conventional plastic is primarily derived from petroleum and takes centuries to decompose into microplastics. Biocraftlab counteracts this with three principles:
Regional production in Graz is not an add-on, but the core of the model: short distances instead of imported goods, fair working conditions, and production only in the quantities actually needed.
